The observation tower at Dillblick is our 17-metre high observation tower with a viewing platform at a height of 14 metres. Construction began in September 2015 and the opening took place on 20 December 2015 after a three-month construction period. Since then, it has been enthroned as Herborn's new landmark on the Dollenberg. From up here you have a wonderful view over the whole of Herborn, Greifenstein Castle and all the way up to Hörbach.
Facts
Three months of construction time, 80 steps to the viewing platform at a height of 14 metres and a total height of 17 metres. A photovoltaic system on the roof supplies the webcam and the LED lighting with electricity. The base area of 6.0 × 6.0 metres widens upwards to an area of 7.5 × 7.5 metres.
