Detailed description

The first records of the ore source gallery date back to 1897. The tunnel goes several hundred metres into the mountain. For the first 30 metres it has a wall with a height of 80 cm. In the past, mining of silver was attempted, but it was stopped due to lack of yield. The water is biologically germ-free and very soft, making it ideal for brewing beer. The dammed water is conducted to the Erzquell Brewery via a 7 km long pipeline.
