Over 4 bright, large exhibition levels, visitors are offered a good overview of the historical development of ceramics. Starting with prehistoric exhibits, this leads from the early salt-glazed Westerwald stoneware to magnificent vessels of the Renaissance, the Art Nouveau vessels and the exhibits of the 50s to 90s of the 20th century.
Through spectacular exhibitions and the announcement of the Westerwald Prize as a competition open to participants from all over Europe, the Keramikmuseum Westerwald presents itself as a forum especially for contemporary ceramics.
