Detailed description

The pilgrimage church of Hausenborn was built in 1441 as a foundation of the Lords of Isenburg and was abandoned in 1788.

In 1984, restoration work began, and in 1990, the blessing of the Pietà took place as a duplicate of the historical Vesper image from the 15th century.

The monument protection and the support association for the pilgrimage chapel of Hausenborn e. V. as well as the GGH are working to preserve the old pilgrimage site as a place of devotion and contemplation of this stony testament to local and church historical heritage.
