Event
Gabriele Hartmann is a painter, photographer, author and publisher. She was born in Zweibrücken in 1956 and has lived in the Westerwald since 1981. Artistic expression in form, colour and word is her existential need, she says. She finds challenge and recognition in tenders and project scholarships (most recently by the Rhineland-Palatinate Foundation for Culture 2020 and 2021).
She points to more than 150 exhibitions, most recently 2020: ZIMMERECKEN at the Landesmuseum Villa Flora, Winterthur (Switzerland), which have favoured the dissemination of her works. The permanent exhibition in the studio Ober der Jagdwiese in Höchstenbach can be visited by appointment, the artist invites.
Also active in literature Her literary repertoire combines short prose and Japanese poetry. She uses her paintings and photographs to create book covers and illustrations, she explains. Image and text influence each other. She has published more than 100 books in her own "bon-say-verlag". An eye for contrasts "Hartmann's eye is sharpened for contrasts. The Stöffel Park, a hybrid of quarry and industrial monument that bridges the gap between nature and art with cultural events, is another example of this. Hartmann underlines the theme of polarity with her exhibition 'In Dialogue' through exhibits of painting up to their dissolution and overpainting with acrylic collage," reads the invitation.
Finissage with an entertaining reading An entertaining reading with husband Georges Hartmann is planned for Sunday, 24 April 2022, at 4pm. "You are cordially invited to both events," say Gabriele Hartmann and the curator of the Stöffel Association, Marli Bartling.
