Museumsstübchen "Aal Schul"

Detailed description

The school of Weißenberg, built in 1835, is a gem. The building, in which the girls and boys learned the Abc until 1917, was lovingly restored in 1989 and is a listed building. Now the house has become an attraction richer: On the upper floor, the local community has opened a pretty local history museum, which is furnished and looked after with great enthusiasm by the working group of the same name.
In the Museumsstübchen customs are preserved, home care operated and (even the young generation) a living insight into the world of the past.
When you enter the museum, you will notice the many tables and chairs (seating about 30 people) that invite you to sit down. You can see everyday objects from the household and agriculture. Eye-catchers are also the many pictures and curiosities.

The entrance to the museum is free, the working group offers the possibility for guided tours. By prior arrangement, a tasting is also possible. Further information and registration: 02667/280 (Mayor Mechthild Hoffmann)
