Event

Nanzenbacher Dorffest

Description

The NANZENBACH village festival will be celebrated in Nanzenbach on 20 and 21 August. The community of village associations again expects hundreds of guests from the village and neighbouring villages. For many Nanzenbachers who have moved away, it is also a nice tradition to come home at the village festival, to see former school and club mates as well as confirmation candidates again.

The event kicks off on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a photo exhibition of past village festivals in the former VoBa branch and a flea market in the Hintergasse. Anyone interested in contributing pictures or selling something should contact Stefan Scheld, 02771 - 829 668. The sports club's "Nanzenbach bewegt sich" (Nanzenbach moves) event, which is popular beyond the village borders, will take place at 1 pm. It will be moved forward by one week so that it will be even more sociable after the tours on offer. When the sporty guests are back, they will be just in time for coffee & cake in the courtyard of the Flöter family from 15:00. Great fun for young and old will be the bullriding from 17:00. Here everyone can show how long they can hold their own in the saddle of the stubborn cattle. Speaking of which, guests can guess how long Harald Klabunde, Stefan Scheld, Tobias Reeh and Volker Hofmann from the organising team can stay in the saddle. The solution and the announcement of the prize will take place on Sunday at 14:00. The musical part of the village festival begins on Saturday at 6:00 pm. First of all, brave singers can put the microphone in their hands at karaoke with DJ Flimmer. We know from past experience that this is a lot of fun. One thing in advance: you can always do worse, there's nothing to be embarrassed about here. Or will we discover some hidden vocal wonders in our village? From 8 p.m. the stage belongs to two of the region's best-known entertainment talents: André Schüler and his guitar, better known as "MIR ZWO". Throughout the day, guests will be supplied with drinks in turn by all the associations from the Bierrondell. Popular at all village festivals is the champagne bar, which opens again this year from 20:00. In addition to sparkling wine and wine, there will also be Aperol Spritz, Jacky-Cola and, as an absolute speciality, a village brandy from a limited bottling. This is also available as a gift in the rustic clay bottle. For the younger guests, there will be attractions to make the day exciting and fun. The local history society will offer the popular "gold digging" and the YMCA will challenge young and old to a gladiator game. Homemade slush ice cream will also be on offer for a sweet cooling down.

Sunday starts at 10:00 a.m. with an ecumenical service of the FeG and the evangelical church community of Nanzenbach. From 11:00 a.m. the morning pint begins with the brass band Musikverein Neuhochstein-Schönberg, which provides a palatable good atmosphere. On both days, the witch's kitchen of the showman family Alde from Nanzenbach opens from 11:00 am. Classics from the grill and deep-fried sunbeams will be on offer.

The NANZENBACHER Dorffest is organised by the community of all village associations and put into action by many volunteers from the associations. It usually takes place every 4 years, but was postponed twice from 2020 to 2022 due to the pandemic. A real mammoth project for the smallest district of Dillenburg with about 1000 inhabitants. The village community can be experienced especially at this festival and it is important to celebrate it. With people from Nanzenbach, with friends from near and far, and with those who want to become friends. You are all cordially invited.
