To the Tour PlanerIf you want to climb a mountain, you have to climb! The route to the summit cross on the 478m high Steinerother Kopf is long but quite gentle. Reward yourself with a rest in the beautiful surroundings and hike comfortably downhill through the unspoilt Steinebachtal valley to the imposing half-timbered buildings of Alsdorf.

From Scheuerfeld station, take the access path back to the main path and up a narrow path towards the Taubenstock. Beautiful hilly landscapes accompany the path towards Steineroth. Above Dauersberg, you can enjoy the first wonderful view of the surrounding hills. If you want to climb the Steinerother Kopf, you can rest here before the ascent. A few meters through Steineroth, the ascent to the 478 m high summit begins over a sparse ridge. A new generation of forest is growing here. At the top, a short path branches off to the viewpoint, which is well worth the effort. On a clear day, you can even see the Siebengebirge mountains near Bonn on the horizon. At the edge of Molzhain, the trail descends to Dickendorfer Mühle and just a few meters further on to the playground. Cross the Elbbach stream to Molzhain, go up again through a forest regeneration area before descending through the quiet Steinebach valley to Alsdorf, whose town center is home to half-timbered houses worth seeing. One of these is the historic and picturesque Hüttenschulzehaus dating back to 1680.
