With the uncovering of the half-timbering and the restoration of the 17th century building, its charming bell tower and the rich, coloured decorative carvings in the entrance area, the building has once again become a piece of art-historical jewellery. The richly decorated portal of the medieval town hall cannot express more hospitable symbolism than "peace for those who enter, well-being for those who leave".
Other attractive half-timbered houses in Schulstraße and Borngasse characterise the town centre.
