The duo “WindWood & Co - The “Players of God” are really getting started again in 2024! For the 14th time, Vanessa Feilen and Andreas Schuss from the duo “WindWood & Co” are presenting a varied church service program for the annual motto. The two multi-instrumentalists mix well-known spiritual songs with grooving world music and a pinch of gospel. The artists combine their diverse music with humorous Bible stories and a contemporary Christian message. For the 2024 annual draw program, Feilen and Schuss have transformed one of their favorite stories into an emotional musical love story that will delight and captivate everyone, from teenagers to grandpas and grandmas. “And All Because of Love” tells the story of the difficult relationship between the Amonite migrant Ruth and the headstrong landowner Boaz, who, despite all odds and intrigues, find great love with each other. But the story is much more than a love story with a happy ending. Those who listen attentively will discover how ancient history continues to send its message to the present day and why Ruth and Boaz are so important for Christian theology. Andreas Schuss is not only the voice of the duo, he is also responsible for the foundation of the music as a keyboardist, guitar and harp player. But what would harmony be without a leading melody? This is where the strength of multi-instrumentalist Vanessa Feilen-Schuss becomes apparent, who ensures an enormous variety of sounds on nine different instruments (saxophone, clarinet, flute, viola, double bass, mandola, ukulele, keyboards, drums/percussion). The duo's music can be described as a mixture of klezmer, Mediterranean and Nordic folk as well as a pinch of pop and gospel music. It's a style that appeals to people of all ages.
