Water march! in Burglahr at the water playground in the historic town centre of Burglahr.
Bubbling and splashing water provide fun, games and cooling for young and old.
Dipping your feet in the cool water is certainly a welcome refreshment for everyone.
With the water pump, children can pump water from the depths to their heart's content, just as they used to do in front of the houses or on the village square. A rotating, height-adjustable "dam wall" allows children to play with the cool water. The large stone water fountain and the stone and wooden gutters are great fun for visitors of all ages.
Under large shady trees, the many park benches and tables offer enough space for a picnic and a cosy afternoon chat.
In the past, the villagers used to gather here on the fountain square to wash and bleach their laundry, but today it is a place of rest and relaxation, especially inviting on hot days like these.
An important note: please park on the large village square on the corner of Wiedtalstraße/Kur-Kölner-Straße and walk the few metres along Burgstraße, turn into Ritterstraße and you are there.
